50 Residents of Somers attended the innaugural Sustainability Forum in Somers on December 7, 2011. We have collected a number of good ideas that will form the basis of our Sustainability Plan and will be vetted by having the community analyze and comment about the initiatives.

NWEAC Shares in the Regional Sustainability Award

The Governor is awarding the Mid-Hudson $67 million to support 61 priority projects. Some of the innovative projects include: • More than $30 million will go toward the development of affordable housing and community revitalization throughout the region. • $4 million for the development of the New York Medical College’s Biotech Incubator Center for Advanced Research in Westchester County.
